Third-Party Senders (TPSs) have been part of the ACH Network for decades. However, over the last few years, the payments industry has worked to better define their distinctive role in the Network. New ACH Rules have further defined the roles and responsibilities of TPSs, including the role of Nested TPS relationships. During this session, we will define the role of third parties overall in ACH origination and dive deeper into their unique roles. We will also explain the differences between a TPS, Third-Party Service Provider (TPSP) and Nested TPS, the ACH Rules compliance obligations of TPSs and walk through real-life origination scenarios to identify the third parties involved.
